A man swerved to miss a dog on a wet roadway and ran into the ditch. His car was not damaged, just stuck in the ditch. Wondering what to do, he spotted an old farmer with a mule coming down the road.

“What’s the trouble?” the farmer asked.
“Well,” the man replied, “I’ve run off the road and my car is stuck in the ditch. Do you know someone with a tractor who could pull me out?”
“Don’t know anyone with a tractor, but me and Bill, my mule here, can pull you out.” he replied.
“Do you really think that one old mule can do it?” the man asked.
“Old Bill is blind, but he can pull you out.” the farmer said confidently.

He hooked old Bill up to the back of the car, then shouted, “Come on Bill, come on Dan, come on Luke, giddup.”
Slowly old Bill pulled the car from the ditch.
“That’s amazing,” said the man. But, why did you shout all those names when there was only one mule?”
“Well, if old Bill thought he was by his self, he couldn’t a done it, but he thought he had help and he didn’t want to let them others down.”

Henry Ford said, “If you think you can, you can and if you think you can’t you can’t. Either way you're right.”

Just tell yourself that you can do it and then act like you can and most of the time you will be able to do it.

Be encouraged to accomplish your toughest task today.
