Sickened and Horrified

I am sickened and horrified by the events that have transpired on the East Coast of America.

At last report, between 10,000 and 20,000 people could have been in the WTC, and a further 800 in the Pentagon. Add that to the 259 EMS and police people who are now missing, dead or injured, and you have an incident of such scale, that it has never been seen outside of a war.

And indeed there is now a state of War. Not off America, or the American people against the perpetrators of this devastating act. But of all decent members of the human race, against the evil.

Indeed, if people that call themselves human can do these things, then I voluntarily leave the species. It horrifies me to think that any person has the capacity for such destruction in them.

I am however heartened by the response of members of this site. I have read every message that has been posted. I am trying to respond to each e-mail of support and GP donations personally. The donations of GP have allowed this forum to stay sponsored long after my own resources would have run out. Indeed, it has cost 400gp per click from the sponsored menu, and my own GPs would have been spent in the first hour. But thanks to those who have given, it has stayed open during the night. It is a ray of hope for human spirit in this, a dark time for civilisation.

It is times like this that inspire the best in people.

I take no credit for this forum. Indeed, I would have preferred it if I never even had to create it. But create it I did. To help those who need it. Even if it helps just one person for one second, then I think it is worthwhile. If I hadn’t created and sponsored one, then one of you would have, and I would be posting my support on it.

The Prime Minister (leader of our government) has decreed that the UK will stand with America. Indeed, Parliament (our governing body) has been ordered to assemble for Friday to discuss ways in which we can offer aid and support to those who need it. It is at times like this that our countries stand closest together.

Regardless of what my country says or does in the end, let it be known that…

I want to stand alongside my American allies, friends and relatives.

I want to fight with you towards justice for the victims.

I will not sit quietly on the sidelines.

I will honour those lost.

I will remember those lost.

I will help those left behind.

The world should say, with one voice, that we would no longer be afraid and no longer tolerate such actions anywhere in the world.

We WILL remember.

We WILL be free.

We WILL be safe.
