Last night I dreamt it was snowing. The kind that is light and beautiful. I was alone on an outdoor icerink A lake that had frozen over. I looked up at the night sky, Sprayed with stars. The snowflakes kissed my face, They landed And melted on my hair and shoulders. I heard a noise behind me. I turned to look, But only saw darkness. I almost turned back, But something caught my eye. Slowly a figure came into view Skating towards me with graceful And easy strides As they approached I turned And faced my back to them. I knew who it was Without seeing her face. I felt her arms wrap around my waist, Resting her chin on my shoulder. I tilted my head back Letting the snowflakes close my eyes. I rested my head on her shoulder And turned my face towards her neck Lips brushing her skin. Her hair filled my senses Reminding me of something So far away We stood there together, Beneath the falling snow, Wrapped in a blanket of stars. Under the moonlight, We stood there together, Until my dream faded away.
