To This One Night~ (please comment ^_^)
3-2-04
Everything has quieted down as it always does late at night. All arguing and shouting has stopped. Put on hold, the inhale a dragon takes before the breath of menacing fire. I know the battling occupants sleep soundly because noise travels easily in our house. There comes only one type of sound now. Deep moans and gutteral cries of urgency bouncing off the drywall and reverberating up into the hallways and high ceilings of the upstairs. A narrow passage of time descending down into a black hole of delectable collections. Each experience lost in an abyss of raw emotion and lust. Tonight is nothing special or celebrated, but in the moment its the whole world to me. The only thing that matters is contained in the small space of a twin bed, set high above the linoleum floor. The bed provides little space but its not needed when sleepers, lovers lie interlocked. Limbs entangled together, covers and sheets are disheveled and are of no more practical use. Nothing in my mind can touch me. Not yesterday's scorn, not the future's worries, no even the next morning's consequences. My focus is honed into this one moment, this one night.
Lips smooth the surface beneath it. Wherever they touch, wherever they travel, a trail of heat follows. Arching my back, hands move up and across my body. Over breasts, trailing across my collarbone and falling through lengths of hair that flow down my back. Slick, sweat covered skin slides against skin. Beads of water and salt trickle down my spine. Hips rise up to meet mine in a gentle crush. Tides that ebb away only to return soon again. Heat rises and spreads upward and races to the ends of each vein and artery. Reaching their roots, the heat ignites into flame and I burn. My body shivers and shudders to give in and waves recede; my marrow cools. Release has come and gone, only euphoria remains from passion and lust. Heated sound has died down into softened sighs. A final kiss before a deep slumber, after this one moment, and to this one night.
