Faith is a subject that has fascinated humanity for thousands of years. For many people, faith is closely connected to religion and the belief in a higher power. My own relationship with faith is different. While I do not believe in a traditional god, I am not without faith. My beliefs have been shaped by curiosity, study, and a desire to understand the mysteries of existence.

The idea that ancient civilizations may have encountered visitors from other worlds captured my imagination. While I understand that many of these theories remain controversial, they opened my mind to possibilities beyond conventional explanations. If someone asked what book came closest to serving as a "religious text" in my life, it might be that one, not because I accept every claim, but because it encouraged me to question what we think we know.

My lack of belief in a traditional god does not come from ignorance of religion. In fact, I have read the Torah, the Bible, and the Quran. I did so because I enjoy meaningful discussions and believe opinions should be supported by knowledge. Too often people argue from assumptions rather than understanding. The greatest obstacle to religious faith for me is the existence of suffering. I struggle with the idea of an all-powerful and benevolent being who allows endless pain, injustice, and loss to continue throughout history. This does not mean I reject the value of faith itself. In fact, I deeply respect those who find comfort, strength, and purpose through their beliefs. There is something profoundly moving about being invited into a simple daily prayer, even when I do not share the same convictions.

My faith is not centered on a god but on the belief that there is still much we do not understand about our universe. I believe curiosity is valuable, questions are important, and respectful dialogue matters. While my path differs from that of many religious people, I share with them a sense of wonder about existence. In the end, faith may not always be about having answers, it may simply be about continuing to seek them.
