These thoughts live with you rent free, you can’t do anything to make them go away. This is something.. ethereal, the universe feels your connection and tries to make you closer. You can’t escape the love of your life, that’s what the higher forces have been trying to tell you all along.
However.. The stars have never aligned, the number was the price of your fine, the Gods have no idea of what soulmate you are talking about. The signs you have been seeing are just a reflection of your own hopes. You can believe in whatever you want, but at the end of the day it’s just your own world that lives that way and sees things in that view. The fact that you are willing to die for someone, changes nothing in their own world. It’s just your mind who believes in endless love with them. It’s fascinating how different these worlds are. Your view on life is special, it’s unique. And no other living being can understand it fully. No other living being has the same one.
No matter how badly you are in love with someone, that has no effect on their attitude towards you. The universe has no single clue both about his thoughts and yours. No, it’s not trying to make you closer. You are trying to make yourself believe that love is something unearthly, something spiritual and divine. In your world it might be the case.
