This is a Shakespearean sonnet about Africa

Hidden in the eaves of the Sahara
Shrouded in the African palindrome
With Gene Siskel and Scarlet Ohara
The one known birthplace of the garden gnome.

Zebras sing, hippopotamuses shoot.
Freedom sings the monkey's dance, and then flees.
Africa even has a horn to toot.
Gorillas swing, and then break down the trees.

I left Africa for the western 'sphere.
I'm really bad at swimming, but no mind.
I posted this on the internet, dear.
Be right and honest, if you can't be kind.

On to Africa, where no one knows me.
To this day, I pray the earth will run free.
