A poem that has its speaker pleading with their creator to fix a broken humanity. |
| Father, hear my plea with an open mind. Humanity begs to be unconfined, but they're all so unrefined, and I want them all to be well-designed. To be studied with your watchful eye, and to hear your purified lullaby. The same gentle tune they'll use as a war cry, they'll start to bash and scream and start to defy. Father, won't you open up their hindered mind? They're all so arrogant and blind. Father, can't you fix mankind? They're all following an echo behind. The same echo that was in the blue sky, The same echo that some choose to deny. Watch as they start to yell, and curse, and lie, it's a broken truth we can't satisfy. Father, aren't you a mastermind? Why can't you leave them redefined? Break open their restrictive iron bind, and fix the flaws that leave them so maligned. |
