"Small, Fragile Body"
(started 8/11/01. finished 8/27/01 - age 17) In the midst of her despair It's raining, Her clothes fusing to her small, fragile body A small, fragile body that's viewed As the greatest of evils, But only to her. Its raining, But this small, fragile body Is rapidly moving. Exhausted. Wobbly and unstable from over-use And self abuse. Days have gone by since she ate. Days filled with over-use And self abuse. The mind that's sheltered in this small, fragile body Endlessly reminding her she's not good enough. She believes. Collapses from over-use And self abuse, Outside where it's raining. Alone. The small, fragile body awakens In a small, stale room. Tubes in her arms, Tears in her eyes. Soon forced to start Down a new, scary path, Disobeying herself a million times over. In the midst of her despair Its raining And she's stuck inside To stop the over-use And self abuse Of the small, fragile body. Mine.
