She lay half in sleep, half in thought, half in clothes
Pensive of dragons in recent days told Frightened of capture, and torture and rape As was done to others with unwholesome gape Dreams of her lover, a knight on white steed In a far away land, face remaining unseen Though through pen and through thought he wooed princess fair, She thought of no other, in shadows she stared. As she drifted, she floated to meet in his arms Willingly wishing to waif to his charms Rising above in the galaxy glower Crowning her kingdom an exploding shower Evil green dragon that lives in her bed Will never know dreams that wash clean her head Of dreaded awakeness to live through the day With dragons, or husbands, forever this way!
