Under The Streetlight
One of those nights I look back on fondly.

Sitting out here alone on my porch.
Thoughts of the nights we spent here approach.
Do you remember those nights?
Under the street light.
Life went by slow,
as the stars were out to glow.
We held hands,
you and I,we were making plans.
It was more than rush,
that feeling from your touch.
When our eyes met,
There was no one in the world that could get,
not to me,
not to me and you.
It didn't matter what happened around the corner.
We were holding each other.
Do you remember those nights?
Under the street light.
Now I sit out here alone,
not knowing if you'll be here soon.
Hoping, wishing, praying,
for the day to come again when we can sit outside.
We'll let the world go by.
All I need is you and I.
