~Perfect Image~
Quizmo LaGrande

Mirror, mirror, who’s that I see,
Imagine looking just like me?
But that’s not me, at whom I stare,
That’s someone I know who cares.

Yes, you there, person I reflect,
You show yourself some self respect.
You have a dignity and grace,
It shows, it shines upon your face!

I see a beaming smile there,
I see a joy, though life’s unfair.
Through a veil of saddened tears
I see the strength beyond your fears.

How can you know as you reflect,
My every wish and happiness,
How can you comfort only me,
Lovely image that I see?

You, looking glass that knows the truth,
That of past and prime and youth,
Dear vanity, I pray to be
The perfect image that I see.
