Inside the Cadillac
so we drive away through a field of never ending nothing...i mean wheat...and we speed down the semi coated interstate...i see my furniture tumbled down the asphalt that speaks in tongues...hello...goodbye...it is a familiar melody...remember the flight jacket that i used to wear with your name upon the lapel...and did you know that there is a place called nashville, illinois? you won't find the king there, and they shoot out tires from the trees to bring in new blood...and do you remember when he cut off his hair...and somewhere down the vanishing highway is the well preserved tail that i kept and we don't need that camera or so i say when it is buried in the sand of the desert that spins by, my the world turns quickly when you're moving on....
