Death Winged
A fictional poetic document of the "Last Days"

July, 1997

Seeping through the receded corners of my mind
Are the memories and nightmares
Of souls left behind
The covered paths of mysteries and lies
When they couldn't see through their blinded eyes

Nobody explained the rules of humanity
Twisted and taunted, can't grasp reality
A million times over man tries to control
Now assisting technology to finish the role

Where is it coming from?
My mind isn't there
Learning of your hatred
The children stare

Prohibit the prayer of the hungry slave
Turning away from the uncharted grave

Obtrusive deception, lucid to me
Nebulous ending
I can't break free

No longer do I slumber
I've forgotten how
In this realm of darkness
I can't be sober now

Clipping the wings of a fallen angel
The soldiers rot and bodies dangle
The time has come
We're numb from dispare
Raised as an army
We challenge the air

Harmonious ghosts diluting creation
The challenge is to survive abomination
In reinstated regression
The nostalgic warriors bow
This time it's over
I can't be sober now
