On the Mayflower they came
On the Mayflower they came Looking for freedom of religion Pilgrims from England arrived Finding a better nation. On the Mayflower they came Not ready for terrible winters Some died, some lived Some missing their dears. On the Mayflower they came Befriending the Indians Picking the harvests Hunting with muskets. On the Mayflower they came Sitting at the table Filled with turkey, corn and berries Ready for dinner. On the Mayflower they came Giving thanks and sharing A day full of meaning They made Thanksgiving.
