A writer's greatest loss

Half Star

Teared eyes,
Watery glaze
Four and a half stars
A puzzle made

A warped satisfaction
No glee can be had
Four star happy
Half star sad.

It is missing, lost
In an archive post
That half star
Missed the most

What gratitude this?
Nines halves almost best!
So keep the shiners
Bury the rest!

Wrapped with blue ribbon
And laid in the grave
Silly half star
Poets’ ego slave!
