I thought I saw you the other day I didn't know what I would say I looked down You were walking past There was a lump in my throat I felt as if I might choke My mind raced searching for words Something to soften the awkward moment When I looked up you were gone At first I was relieved No confrontation no explanation No need to devise a defense As I walked on I soon felt sad What a dear friendship we used to have I miss you Amy Delvaux 12/12/01
