I want to get published in the New Year. Not just published ('cause I did that this year) but a PAID published author. I desire to walk out to the mailbox and come back with a big silly grin on my face and a check (doesn’t matter how big or how small) in my hand. I need to show my husband that I do have the determination and the talent to bring some money into our bank account, without compromising our family‘s interests. I want to accomplish this for two big reasons. One is so I may continue to be a stay at home mom. If I can generate another stream of income (and it doesn't have to be a large one), it will ease the financial burden that our family is under. We have four children and only two are in school and I would dearly love to be the one to raise them, not a day care facility (nothing against daycare facilities). The other reason is purely selfish. It's for me. I want this for me. I don't need to be famous, but it would give me great joy to be able to make a living doing what I love. To validate, to my husband, the time I sit in front a word processor program and on the Internet at Writing.Com.
