Cross~Eyed in One and Blind in the Other Quizmo LaGrande What can I say? Tis true of my fate, Beautiful blue eyes that just can’t see straight. I shan’t tell a lie, fable or yarn, But the eyes of this girl can’t see worth a darn! One suitor untrue, the other far fetched, But still I see blindly a fortune well etched. It’s good, you may say, that she sees in directions Of different persuasion, through her imperfection. A romantic, you think, by chance or by choice? Hardly a choice of this quixotic voice. Strabismus or not, these eyes observe all, Reflecting an ocean of tides large and small. ~~~***~~~
