Love's Flaw

I stare through the bars of this prison;
I'm trapped.
I see only what I can never have-
The striving pain.
I feel the restraint of chains
Pulling me back.

I stare at what I want-
Lost love.
I see the beauty in all,
Even you.
I feel the warmth and pain
Inside.
