We swayed together
In rhythm and in music
Our eyes and breath merged as one,
You were the cherryblossom
Blowing gently in the breeze
As I caressed your body and soul

We were joined together
In the rhythm of each other
O mariner of the uncertain flow

We leaned on each other
In lightning and in storm
Certain in the comfort of your radiance,
You were the white mountains
Glowing in the dawnlight
And I the cloud beneath your peaks

We were joined together
In the knowledge of each other
O mariner of the uncertain flow

But, where the cherryblossom flutters
There is an abyss
Where the white mountains glow
There is an abyss
Where the still waters run
There is an abyss,
That you knew and I did not know

You came to me empty,
Wriggling and turning
Not knowing what was in store,
You were dipping and bending
Stopping and flowing in waves,
Not knowing, I drifted to another shore

Once we were joined together
In the turmoil of each other

You emerged from the chrysalis
A wonder of fresh color
The world at your feet as you strode,
I remained me, as I
Always thought I was,
Caught in the abyss below

You opened your heart again
And I was transformed into
What I thought I was not,
I emerged from the twilight
Swaying to a new rhythm
Close dancing,locked in you
