The Moon Heard Me Calling
The moon heard me calling, Long, low, tad off tone. Yes, moon in her splendor Rubbed my shoulder and bone. “I’ll answer your wishes, Your prayers I will grant. In return, I will ask you To call and recant “All those silly song poems, Love letters, and prose! Every day I get billions, The Lord only knows, “Of odes and laments, Broken hearts and true love, Dances and prances, believe me.. Seen, heard all the above! I’m sick of the blame, Don’t tell me your sorrows! Talk to the Sun Of your dreary tomorrows! “So leave me alone, At least for a day, And I’ll grant you a wish For a love here to stay. “Here, your letter’s returned Sealed luna kiss The moon’s faithful blessing True love’s lasting bliss! “Then no need to write me, Please, a peace~quiet thing. A small trade for freedom Don’t thank me, or sing!” ~*~
