You Animal, You!
What kind of animal are you? Do you purr, or growl Sniff or yowl? It all depends on time and place At times I act astute A monkey in a person suit. Sometimes by day I slink and sly, A cat that watches passersby, A knowing glare (familiar’s stare). A pooch, a friendly wagging tail That swooshes by and whips a gale, A slobber kiss to greet and glee. That could be the likes of me. But by night when lights are low I soften to a different glow With kisses I transform, With bedtime love and hugs galore, Soft and warm and cuddly so, To teddy bear, don’t you know! A teddy is the beast I be. A teddy bear And free of fleas! ~~*~~
