What has it come to, this life of mine,
that I feel so alone and lost to time. Six feet from the edge, Is six feet so far? Seeing my image look back at me, I ask if this was meant to be. The edge beckons me, Is six feet that far? Within my mind are memories, they echo back like Greek tragedies. A perfect place a perfect time, Six feet straight ahead. Taking the journey one step at a time, walking along a wire thin line. The edge approaches and I am there, Six feet was not that far. Looking over my spirit twists, vertigo caused by the endless mists. Six foot been and gone, there is no seventh. You reach out to me and now I believe, your spirit mine has relieved. In this life I hope I can give love unselfishly, with you between the edge and me.
