Getting There

Wandering aimlessly
is not all bad.
For sometimes it is
the most direct route
to freedom of the mind.

Marching pointedly to
where you want to be
Can accomplish the same thing
if you allow your mind
to divert from a narrow path.

A circuitous route
around a hazy idea
Can give you time
to bring it into focus,
and it might become suddenly clear.

You can run,
or you can walk.
Meandering is fine
Why should you care,
when the point is
getting there.
