Warning:

If you don't have a sense of humor you probably won't get me or vice versa. I try not to take myself too seriously and suggest that you do the same. You make a choice to be happy here and have a good attitude.

As writers, you and I have the opportunity to do and be anything we want to be. We are only limited by the scope of our imaginations, and of course by the rules. That said, I mostly am a reader here.

I am a reader who loves to read!

My user name is 4Provinces and my handle changes at will to tHinG, Hooves of Fire and COWser Soze.

Sometimes, in addition to being tHiNng, I am the suave Hooves of Fire, a Writing Bull.

To make things more confusing, I have another writing persona that used to be an alternate handle for HOOVES. This is another not so usual suspect of the bovine kind, known as COWser Soze.

Most of my items are open to be rated and reviewed, unless they are wildly personal (best I can remember).

I am always learning new things about this website and about life in general. I learn as I go. My computer skills are developing over time and not the greatest. I am not arrogant enough to think that I am always right, but I say what is on my mind when I pay you a visit.

POETRY DISCLAIMER, et al

As for poetry, and everything else written, I am no expert. There are many fine poets and writers here. What I like in a poem is a phrase or series of phrases that is original (in my experience anyway) and something I can relate to. It is only an opinion, but it is my opinion!

As to my writing -

I have written a complete novel here in this nice folder -----> "Sara's Port"  !

I also have written a variety of short stories in various genres. You can find some of these in this folder ----> "Tales & Tails to Tell" .

As for received reviews, I have learned over the years to appreciate any and all (yes even the stinky poo doo doo ca ca ick icks) reviews because they represent views. However, you must know that the review you send reveals a lot about the reviewer.

Views = Readers reading which is always a good THiNg anywhere!

If you send me a polite and helpful review, (I make the call on that) I'll do my best to come visit you eventually.

I do my level best to stay away from internet drama.

If you misbehave or act up, or even argue with me, chances are you will be ignored. I rarely have the energy to scold people anymore. It all bores me, truly it does. I do admit that I peek now and then at fights in forums, but this is a guilty pleasure of sorts. I do know better even though I don't always take the high road and leave it be.

My bassett hound still wags her tail at me when she sees me, even if you do not.

Of course, she requires a treat or two, but that's her nature as a canine.

The sun will continue to rise and set (God willing) on us all.

All I ask of you in general, is that you treat others the way you yourself would want to be treated and I will try my best to do the same for you. Pay it forward here and more importantly in your real life, whenever you can! In my opinion, that's why we're all here in the first place!

Hooves and I have seen a lot of talented and much beloved writers (by us) come and go, and come back in the past eight years. Actually, it has been longer than that since I first came here as *gasp* somebodylovesthebus in September of 2000. Yes, I was that big blowhard windbag too. Somebodylovesthebus was created September 9, 2000, left in August and returned September 25, 2001 as 4provinces.

Without this site, I would not have met some of my dearest and most cherished friends.

Sometimes in life you have to love people enough to let them go and learn from the experience.

My aforementioned pup helps me a lot when it comes to putting things into perspective..



This is the look below that she gives me when I try to get her to do something (like look at the camera) that she'd rather not do.



Or maybe she just ate a bug.

So there.

I am one lucky tHiNg to have such a sometime obedient and always loving pup.

Life does go on (hopefully) and most days it is pretty darned good to wake up on the right side of the grass.

Some days are definitely easier than others.

Life is full of challenges.

Learn to embrace the experience and write about it!

Adopt a new persona with your handle using the awesome costumicons!

Traveling to Ireland, photographing it and writing about it literally saved my life. If you are fortunate, writing about your adventures will lead you to the light as well.
