I wrote this poem for my then girlfriend in 1989. She became my wife in 1991 and today is the mother of our three children. I can’t imagine a life without her and my children, and this poem may have started it all (she still carries this poem with her in her purse).
Evermore I look at you now There is innocence in our embrace Worldly as you may be There’s a child in your face Your skin so soft Your eyes gently pressed Our bodies intertwined My head at your breast We sleep ‘till dawn And then even more I love you now And I think, evermore PRD,1989
