Only once in a lifetime
A poem of Love I wrote when I was a teenager

Only once in a lifetime,
Someone like you comes along.
Making life worthwhile,
By the way we got along.

You've had your grief and sorrows
It's true just like the rest,
But from all the guys I've known
You are the BEST!

If something should happen and we break up,
I know I'll cry some tears.
For I never will forget you,
And I'll love you through the years.

And, when you die, I know you'll go to heaven.
I pray to God to keep you in His care.
For there's no one more deserving,
Who belongs up there.
