I was startled and felt myself frown.
It rang shrill as a small bell when it hit the ground. I caught the flash of silver as it glinted in it's fall. I was startled. It was supposed to be in the picture frame in the hall. Slowly I bent down and picked it up. Experimentally, upon my left hand finger it stuck. The fit was snug; but not tight. I took it off; it wasn't right. What was it doing in my pocket? It fell to the floor my attention drawn to it. I returned it to the picture frame in the hall. The tiger's sad gaze reflected all. Again I tucked it inside the notched frame. Maybe I should find a safer place where the ring could always remain. It bothered me that it fell. I'm not handling this very well. But, there it had fallen and my eyes teared; the sadness pervaded touching me, Dear. I saw its engraved reminder to D- with Love- K. Her Love that was forever gone away.
