I know you don't want to see anymore, but this is one of my two Sept.11 poems.

...And We Stood Still

Planes crash,and there's fire.
Explosions rock the city streets.
And they cry.
Their tears bleed.

Towers hit,as planes are revoked control.
Fires burn,as people die.
Buildings collapse,more carnage guaranteed.
America is in chaos.

I look up from my thoughts.
A girl is justifably scared.
She paints terror for us.
And I stood still.

People jump,choosing how they'll die.
Second attack is confirmed.
Security is no longer.
People,young and old,are stunned.

Plane after plane,buildings succeeding.
Too many people will unrightly die.
The whole world cannot mask concern.
Here,there,we all are scared.

Only time will tell.
Let the smoke clear.
Don't look right away.
But do so if you want to be carnage.

I can only imagine it.
They'll scream."I didn't do it!"
But that's not here or there.
That's for the future,not now.

But we will remember this day.
For I was old enough to see
And understand the destruction.
My friends and I will never forget till
we enter our respective graves.

And we stood still....
