It was difficult to think of a name for this award because you do so much for so many. And you do it quietly, not seeking attention for yourself.

I would have named my Making A Difference Award the NL Thompson Award if I didn't know that would embarass you.

I only hope at the end of the day I can be 1/100th of the person you already are. I thought it would be appropriate to put this on The Writing Assignment Folder in your portfolio, since that was how we met and that was the first of many many contributions you have made to those of us on this site.

Friend, writer, teacher, artist, you name it - you excel at all of them, but most of all you have a kind heart that shines through everything you do.

Anything I do here that's positive is because of your encouragement and intervention on my behalf.

So thank you for everything, but most of all for showing me the way.
