This was a poem I had to write for English class while we were doing parodies. Plese feel free to rate and review or e-mail me with any comments.
IF YOU SHOULD DIE TO-NIGHT If you should die to-night And I come to your cold body and say, Not weeping of heartsick or your useless clay- If your should die to-night, And I will not come close to deepest grief and woe And say:"Here is the ten bucks I owe," And stuff it back in my pocket. You might arise in your large white cravat And say, "You Bastard" If you should die to-night And I should come to your cold body and kneel, Casping your bier, showing no grief at all You say, if you should die to-night And I should come to you, and there and then Just even hint "like I'm gonna pay you that 10," You nighty arise the while, I hope you drop dead again.
