~Lost~
Quizmo LaGrande

Lost, in a moment,
In a daydream,
In a storm.

Searching, under rocks,
Inside songs,
Through cloud forms.

Lost in a hundred seagull cries
Fighting over tidbits,
Squabbling over tides.

Looking for the one
Holding to forever’s dream
Of depth deemed real,
Not life unseamed.

Where are you?
I saw you not long ago,
Dark circles traced your eyes,

Eyes of twilight
Cast downward
As sunken suns and sighs.

Please return.
I yearn for that happy smile
I plead for a clue,

A vibration
Of fresh fingers plucking
Clever melodies.

Cresting over incline
Though hopes and aspirations
Across many seas,

Searching for a shooting star
To capture the light
Refracting traces of me.

Why am I so lost?
Lost in an eternal daydream
Refusing to wake
at any cost.
