MORNING PRAYER

God, it's me again,
I'm here to give you thanks
For another morning.
A new day, a clean slate.
Guide me in my path today
Let me reflect
Your caring love.
Let my heart
Be full of forgiveness;
Let me move on
To a better life.
You've been there for me
When the rest of the world
Has turned away.
Let me see the good in people
And trust that you
In your infinite mercy
Will pick me up
In your loving arms,
Comfort me
And ease the pain -
Help me to follow you
I need you so.
You alone hear my pleas,
You alone see my heart.
Thank you for showing me
The way,
In Jesus name.
