Wasted Paper
Saying goodbye to an ex (meanly)

All those poems I wrote about you,
all those letters I never sent!
I wasted so much paper on you!
Trees died because you couldn't be straight
with me! All you had to do was talk to me!
Tell me the truth! And still you don't back
your betrayal with reasons, you just get mean!
Sending crude messages through the girl I
thought was my friend. Messages about who
you're doing and what you're up to, believing
right to the end that I still give a shit!
But you're sadly mistaken, because you tore me
up and threw me to the ground, and while I
was down, you didn't kick me, you fucked my
best friend! And still you think that when
you send me broken telephone messages I will
cry or call or coming running to say "please
stop breaking my heart" And when I don't, you
just get meaner thinking that will make me
love you again! But it won't cuz I'm one of
those people that just turn it off when it
gets to be too much.Hell, you've seen me throw
my alarm clock out the window when the beeping
gets too loud, so what makes you think your
incessant buzzing won't inspire me to chuck you
out of my heart? So stop sending messages. Stop
thinking you can make me feel anything.
because I've wasted the last piece of paper I ever will on you.
