Hangin' on the wind
Wings spread wide
Tail feathers adjust and balance
Hoverin' a thousand feet above the canyon floor
Below is hidin' what I am lookin' for.

Hangin' on the wind
Wings filled wide
Tail feathers twitch anticipating shifts
Hoverin' a thousand feet above the canyon floor
Below sage and rock conceal what I am looking for.

Hangin' on the wind
Wings fold in
Tail narrows, fans, tilt guiding
Screamin' a thousand feet to the canyon floor
Below a movement betrays what I am hunting for.

Today I eat.
My hatchlings feed.
It's a good day.
I live my victory.

Today is my eternity.
There exists no tomorrow.
The moment is what matters.
I fly with a full belly.

And later;

I will hang on the wind.
