ROY

Let me tell you a story of a boy named Roy.
Who started smoking Pot around fourteen.
As he grew older it took more of this thing.
So he could stay high and in his dreams.

Then the high from the Pot was not enough.
So he decided to try some stronger stuff.
First he tried the high from two pain pills.
Alright for awhile soon he lost the thrill..

He then started taking some ten at a time.
He assured himself he could still walk a line.
He realized his habit was getting to expensive.
Roy was spending all of his money on drugs.

He still didn't take enough so he snorted coke.
From that point on he always stayed broke.
So the Cocaine he began to push and sell.
That's what all was left after he got his fill.

All this time he was being abusive to his wife.
They soon had a boy who used drugs like Roy.
After many years of physical abuse of his wife.
She decided she wanted another man and life.

So she left Roy and her boy for an other man.
Roy could not understand why she did this.
She hurt him so much by hurting his pride.
Even though over years he spent the money.

Could had a home with what he spent on dope.
Had a good marriage with a lot of future hope.
I guess the drugs he wanted above anything.
He got his way but lost his wife and everything.

He lived to be fifty with Michael his only son.
They both took methadone to replace the fun.
The saddest part of this whole drug story.
A very loving and caring man named Roy.
