WILL O' THE WISP

'Tis a will o' the wisp; a gleam in the eye
The moonbeam a-dancing, a breeze stirring by..
'Tis a bit of the blarney in an Irishman's heart,
A touch of old Erin and a fisherman's cart -

'Tis the emeralds of Ireland, tis the memories made
The wee folk a-chanting in a forestry glade.
'Tis a kindly old mother whose smile bids us well,
'Tis music and laughter that through the hills swell.

'Tis the shamrock we cherish, the twinkling of star
That makes us remember just who we are.
'Tis the slap on the back and the grip of a hand,
'Tis the glory of Ireland for which we all stand.

May your days be many and your troubles be few;
'Tis an old Irish blessing I'm offering you -

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2004
