She sits and stares Eyes upwards, gaze transfixed... The moon and stars twinkle in the twilight. They shimmer and shine glowing brightly... She sobs quietly in her desolate place. Tears glimmer and glisten Oblivious to her pain, the man in the moon tilts and twirls about the world. Hands pale and long grip the dirt. As her heart pounds and hurts. The stars sparkle and shine Unmindful of the lives they intertwine. Her life lays in shatters. Yet the skies above, continue to move. The stars and moon make promises.. Ones they cannot keep And meanwhile she hopes for eternal sleep.
