`The Commoner
a poem about learned behavior

‘Times I feel the common fool
Something learned, but what, in school
The tale doth told, a thousand more
Mine eyes, but ache, to see before
The wronged path that I did took
Only to find the Jester’s hook
To see, just Once, the clearer day
But, no, my mind that did betray
Sits atop this jumbled frame
To hang once more, in common shame
