You used to find me wondering on the great road of life
Never happy in one place for long. For I was the eternal wanderer. It seems like I was forever driving by, Forever on the wing My heart and soul finding no peace in any one place. There I go again on my own Going down the only road I’ve ever know Don’t know where I’m going, only where I’ve been Coast to coast, sky to sky Going from hell to hell. Alone. Holding onto hope Dreaming of a better time and place Reaching for the love that seemed so far I always thought love was giving The more I gave the less I got So I lost the will to give A ray of hope drew me to your horizon The dawn bathing me in glorious warmth Opening up my shell and getting into my heart. Now I have found a home in your arms Warmed by the heat of your soul I wander alone no more. (Verse 3 adapted from Whitesnake - On my own)
