Sunbeams
To a distant dream, yet only a sunrise (and half a world) away..

Sunbeams
By Quizmo LaGrande

Sunbeams shining, warm your world
As moonlight creeps on mine.

You wake and stretch, at break of dawn
While twilight filters time.

Glint laughter sunbeams, sighs for me
As my eyes set to dream

I feel your warmth, your presence near
Yet lands apart we scheme.

With outstretched hands, fingers long
Touch tip of your salvation.

Sunbeams shine upon your morn
Darkness thrusts in my damnation.

Yet in my night as sleep becomes
My haven to transmute

Damnation to a luxury
Dreams of bodies' hot pursuit

Someday, my Love, our worlds will merge
Under one sun we'll shine

Our nights become electric,
Our love, at last, entwined.
