As I laid in my hospital bed
My mind did stir I saw angels above me Whispering “what shall happen with her?” I never felt more calm Never such a sense of peace The angels above me Set my soul at ease They beckoned me forward For which I did follow This bright light they shone me Was a tunnel sort of hollow I wasn’t scared, not even a bit I was the happiest I’ve ever been Then at the end of this bright light Shone just at the lights rim There it was and I was right there Standing proudly at Heaven’s Gate Knowing in my heart I had done well in life For this to be my resting fate As I stood at the entrance My heart felt so light I knew that very moment That everything was right I took to my new home Like I’d been there my whole life With a new renewed spirit Without pain or strife Now I shall be honored To join in the ranks As the angels before me And for that I give thanks I give my life to God As I did there on Earth For living in God’s light Can truly sum your worth ~next poem~ "Invalid Item"
