6 Frames of Dwayne's Life
After Primus St. John

         I
A figure rounds a corner
A door drops between Marine & G-man
The screen freezes, and then my world goes black
A foot trips the power strip: off, then on.

         II
White falls around my world.
A ball flies at my back.
Too bad she can't hit!

         III
"The answer is..."
Jeopardy appears on the TV.
I get 2 of the questions right.
I'd never make it on the show.

         IV
Crank, crank, crank.
Puuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrr.
"Ow!!!!"
The cat got me again!

         V
Small and cute,
Only newly born.
Wish I knew how big a brat
She'd grow up to be!

         VI
Figures dance on the screen
While a young kid dances too.
His center of balance is off.
Now, he has a scar on his forehead.
