Isn't it amazing how fragile life is ? One minute you're enjoying it and the next minute, without warning it's taken away. I can only imagine what his closest friends and family are going through. It's sad when anyone dies, but when it's someone you've known for almost all of your life, then it seems like a piece of you is taken with them.

It's so tragic, dying young. He was only nineteen, his whole life lay ahead of him. But because of some childish fantasy of being invincible, his precious life was cut short.

It seems my Generation X is into all the extreme stuff, anything that will satisfy that adrenaline rush we've been craving. We carry around this stupid childish facade of, "that will never happen to me!" How wrong we are. It can and does happen to us, and when it does, we're reminded how fragile we really are.

Some of us learn our lesson, some of us don't, but we all feel a loss when we should have known better.

Stupidity is one of our closest friends. We do stupid things because they didn't seem stupid at the time and because we learn from it. But stupidity is also one of our worst enemies, for it is stupidity that usually gets us hurt or even worse, KILLED!
