In You, All
A poem for the love of my life

In your arms, I am a woman.
In your arms, I'm a girl.
You hold me in the palm of your hand,
You hold, there, the whole world.

You look at me with laughter in your eyes,
You look at me with burning need.
You hold me tight through the darkness,
You let me always be free.

You hold my hand to lead me on,
You ask where we will go-
You need me to be there with you,
You fill my empty soul.

I shake with your intensity,
I ease with your gentleness.
I give to you all you ask,
You fulfill my heart's wish.

If ever a night should come alone,
If there's ever a dawn without your kiss,
My empty heart would tremble with cold,
My eyes would seal with loneliness.

Stay, please, ever close to me,
Don't let me slip away-
Take my heart, its your to keep,
Alone, I have no more days.
