A word with God
Is overdue When things go wrong, He carried you. I feel the need, And He is there, Silently listening To my prayer. Many times I've prayed That I'd not be alone - He answered: "Child, come home". I prayed for love, To me it came But it didn't stay, Life's not the same. I prayed for strength To live on When all my dreams Of love had gone. He helped me up And with sad eyes Told me I Had not been wise. The morning light comes - Once more warm and bright I kneel before him To make things right. Knowing not what to say, "Forgive me" I cried, "There's so much love From you inside" - Then I thanked Him For His love And thanked Him For the stars above. I thanked Him That I can walk, I thanked Him That I can talk. I thanked Him For another chance To lovingly Remember the dance. I am so blessed In every way, I'll have a word With God today.
