Once upon a time, a cute little bunny rabbit ran outdoors, into a briar patch.

A small girl was looking for a rabbit for Easter, and happened to see the bunny.

The rabbit was soft, with white fur. Its ears were long, and it wore a pink bow around its neck.

"O come out little bunny. I won't hurt you. I want to take you home. I'll take good care of you, and we'll have lots of fun!"

The rabbit did not move from the thorny patch.

"O please little bunny. I don't want to be alone. Let's be friends!," she called out.

Shortly, three other rabbits appeared. They were dirt gray, and not as cute. They hopped into the small opening.

The girl was able to grab the last of the three.
"Mr. Rabbit, please tell that cute lil' bunny to come out - please!"

Instead of answering, the rabbit fell into her arms, and rested.
The girl, startled, fell on to the grass plain. The rabbit still in her arms.

"I wanted the bunny in the patch.," she said, starting to cry.

With that, the bunny jumped out of her arms.
He led her toward the brier patch, where the other rabbits cleared a path.

It soon was big enough for the little girl.

"Hooray, hooray - I can get my cute little bunny!," she exclaimed, running toward the back of the cave.

Her pet was there, waiting for her.

She picked up her bunny, and headed back for the clearing.

By this time, however, the hole was too small.
She couldn't get out - she was too tall.

The other rabbits jumped up and down, petting her.
They were not alone.

She sat down and cried, "I want to go home."
