You and Me
You and me Together At the beach Alone in our cove Alive like never before. To be held in your arms Is likened to the beauty of early Dusk at the summer’s edge; Overwhelming, powerful, gentle. To gaze into your eyes is A heaven I couldn’t be told existed. Your kisses, subtle they be, are Equal only to the taste of Aged wine in a Roman arena. I hearken my ears to the Voices of the sages; the modern Comics; the poets and artists I’ve Long admired: Among them, I may find the words to say, “I love you”. You’ll be leaving soon. You’ll take my heart with you, Like a broken seashell From a beach ~ Suddenly lonely.
