My best friend accepts me as I am
(Not the worst and not the best) Cheers me up with a smile or two And gives my soul a rest. Doesn't stop and critize The things I do or say Points me to a better life And then shows me the way. My best friend knows my faults (They are plain enough to see) Is there for me when I need a friend He just lets me - be me. Other friends may come and go Just people passing through - My best friend is always there He's tested, tried and true! He's picked me up and dusted me off When I fell flat on my face; He knows that I will be okay He's seen that "better person" place. My best friend, how can I Ever find the words to say You've made my life worthwhile This I never can repay! Dedicated to my best friend, Monty!
